Stumbling in my big awkward costume, Jem and I walked through the dark schoolyard.
"I wish I hadn't ruined the play. Did people really laugh at me, Jem?" I asked.
"Yeah, they did. But its fine, we all make mistakes," responded Jem.
When we came near our house, we noticed that under the light-pole standing was a strange figure. Jem whispered "Get behind me, Scout." Just as he said I slowly walked behind him.
Each step we took, each time we got closer to the figure. Through the costume I could see that the stranger had on overalls, long sleeve shirt, boots, and a hat. As we got more nearer to the stranger,
